Safeguarding Statement

Milton St John's is committed to its responsibility to safeguard and protect the interests and welfare of our children.

Milton St John's understands the benefits of a multi-agency approach to safeguarding, child protection and family support and we expect all employees, stakeholders, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.

We take our responsibilities for safeguarding seriously. All employees and volunteers working for Milton St John's have a duty under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and Children Act 2004 to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.

All of our staff receive training so that they can respond quickly to at-risk children. We work closely with Tameside Safeguarding Board and have established policies and procedures to support our commitment to the welfare and safety of all our children and young people.
